Question 1:
Find the (4) key things discussed that God gave man and woman at Creation in Scripture.

According to the Hebrew Dictionary, in Genesis 4:7, the word “sin” means offense, insult, or wrongdoing. It comes from a primary root word chata, which means to miss, forfeit, lack, or cause to be condemned. It indicates to be in a condemning position or condition. In other words, it means to be offensive, repulsive or insulting; it indicates a position, condition or stand that one takes on.
Question 2:
In Genesis 3:6 “When the woman saw that the fruit of the tree was good for food and pleasing to the eye, and also desirable for gaining wisdom, she took some and ate it…” How would you say that she insulted or offended God by her actions in this verse?

She saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was delightful to look at: she took her sight/focus off God – lust
A tree to be desired in order to make one wise and insightful: pride
She took some of its fruit and ate it: disobedience

At creation God gave man and woman the following four things:
1) Made them in his own imagine
2) Dressed and kept them in the Garden/freedom to eat with the exception of the tree of knowledge
3) Dominion and naming all the animals
4) Adam name the animals and recieved dominion on the earth.

2. Resources: freedom to eat from any tree of the garden but not from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil 3. Authority let them have dominion over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth 4. Wisdom to name all of the animals.

1. God gave them, a. Dominion, b. To dress and be keepers of the garden. c.To name
all cattle, fowls of the air, and every beast. d. Not to eat of the tree of good and
evil, and to name every living creature.
2. Eve offended God by disobeying his command to not eat from the tree when He had
put everything inside her that she needed.

In addition to Eve not knowing her identity in God she also did not believe God when God said that if you eat of the tree He told Adam not to eat of they they would die. she choose to believe the lie to the serpent.

Eve insulted or offended God by her action because her actions said that she did not know her identity in Him and she was not complete.

!. Authority, 2. Tend, Guard, keep, free to eat of every tree of the garden. 3. Authority over everything, Adam named the creatures God created. 4. Not to eat from the tree of knowledge of good and evil, Adam had authority to name every living creature.
