What promise does Mal 4:4-7 give the believer?
4:4 Remember ye the law of Moses my servant, which I commanded unto him in Horeb for all Israel, with the statutes and judgments. 4:5 Behold, I will send Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord: 4:6 And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse.

The promise that is given to the believer based on Malachi 4:4-6 is Message version it says that God sent Elijah to clear the way for the big day – Judgement Day. He will convince parents to look after their children and children to look up to their parents. If they refuse, God will put the land under a curse.

    Mal 4: 4-6
God said for them to remember the laws he gave Israel by Moses on the Mount Horeb. Then God said he will send Prophet Elijah, before the coming of the great dreadful day, His coming will convince Fathers and Children to come together again and be in alignment with one another in their mind and hearts, But woe if they don’t He would curse the Land.

“See, I will send the prophet Elijah to you before that great and dreadful day of the Lord comes. He will turn the hearts of the parents to their children, and the hearts of the children to their parents; or else I will come and strike the land with total destruction.”(NIV)

That God will turn the hearts of the father to the children and the hearts of the children to the father. His Word in Psalm 68 also promises that He will be a Father to the fatherless and be there for us through all we face in life.
