Then ending to Joseph’s real story was that even though his brother’s sold him for 20 pieces of silver to the Ishmaelites on the side of the road while they were gathering food. And didn’t understand that Joseph would be the one to feed and take care of them all as his family in spite of what they did to him? “Even as it happened he immediately forgave them and made sure that his family was taking care even when they didn’t respect or protect him. Finally, even when the enemy tries to come in like a flood God raises a standard against him and he can’t and won’t kill you no matter what it looks like. Amen Genesis 45 KJV

Although Joseph’s brothers sought to kill him out of jealousy God’s plan was at work in Joseph’s life. He used hardship and suffering to bring Joseph to a high place in him to save his family from the famine. In spite of his brothers, Potipher’s wife, and others mishandling him God used all of his experiences to develop him and bring him to the very place God intended for him to be. God’s plan prevailed!

Everyone is familiar of the story of Joseph, from the Pit to the palace. After all Joseph had gone through, being sold to the Ishmeelites by his brothers for 20 pieces of silver, sold into Egypt unto Potipher by the Ishmeelites, finding grace in the sight of his master, being made overseer of his master’s house and all his land, being accused of rape by Potipher’s wife, being thrown into prison, finding favor in prison and being placed over all the prison, and forgotten by the chief butler once released, the hand and favor of the Lord never left Joseph. Despite all that had happened to him, Joseph was able to persevere. And in the end when the famine came and Joseph saw his brothers come looking to trade for food, Joseph realized that all his suffering, all his pain was not for nought it was for purpose. The dreams he had, and told his family had come to past. He was walking in purpose and God had ordered his steps for such a time, when all was revealed. It ended up for his and his family’s good.

How did this work for Joseph’s good?

What the enemy tried to do to kill me, God used for the good of those that have been put in my sphere of influence, both family and foe. God turned the heart of those that mean to surprise you to raise you to a higher standard to be used for the good of others. God showed Joseph that despite the trials and tribulations that he suffered, that He is a deliverer to those that remain humble and faithful to Him, His Will, and His Ways.
